1 Author's Request on Thu Jun 04, 2009 5:35 pm

I try very hard to have my stories look professional. I'm not a web site designer (and didn't feel it was appropriate to use the IT guy from Magicat's for this), but I try to make it easy to read and neat. I also have to do my own editing. I think I do a pretty good job (better on the stories than on the forum, which is more free-hand); but I still make mistakes.

In an attempt to lure more readers to the site and forum, I posted one of my recent stories to MMSA. While I was transferring it, I read a couple of sentences and found two different spelling mistakes.

If you notice any of these, please drop me an e-mail or PM so I can correct them.

Thanks for your help and support

I don't care about your occasional letter missing in a word or mistaken word. I like the events and stories and I can figure out what what you intended to write.

Bransom Postmaster

I will honor your request. If I see something in a story only I will drop you a PM.

Editor Extraordinaire
Jack, I will also send a PM if I notice any errors, but the sorts of errors to which you refer are trivial and do not interfere with the reader's enjoyment of the story.

Be careful what you wish for! Twisted Evil

I'll "proof" the next story you post. Cool

Another great story which held my interest very well. I really liked the surprise at the end.

It is unlikely I would find a spelling error, and I saw no logical errors, which are the type of errors, which I see easily.

I understand -- I recently edited the stories I wrote nearly 20 years ago, to put them in chronological order (not the order in which they were originally written) amazed at how many spelling and grammatical errors I ran across. tbfyb

Nice to see you, TBFYB. I was sorry you removed most of tour stories from the MMSA, but I wanted to tell you that you are one of my favorite authors. I hope everything is going well for you.

Nice to be back and thanks --- as noted, I recently edited the stories -- gave titles to those that did not have titles and put them in chronological order. Removed from MMSA for personal/family reasons --- don't mind sharing. If you have a safe email address for such things and send it to me via a private message I will send them your way --- I still receive mail at

Not necessary, thanks. I do have them. I keep private copies of my favorite authors' stories in case they become unavailable for some reason. That's why I have the stories by authors like Ripping Yarns and others, and in one case my copies served to restore all the lost stories written by Ezra Tennant/Mark Bench, who had deleted them completely and later changed his mind.

Anyway, your stories had a strong influence on me, and I'm glad you are fine. Smile
