Rough Housing or Bad Behavior?
An Ivor Production

You took your two sons 14 year old Adam and 13 year old Lee shopping today.
They are aware of the standards of behaviour you expect from them when they are out and both are subject to spankings when considered necessary.

You have already warned them a couple of times today, but for some reason they seem particularly fractious. The picture below is what you have just seen. Are they going to get a spanking when you get home?

The picture looks more like roughhousing than fighting to me, but the roughhousing is probably inappropriate for the time and place. Having already given a warning, I'll get out the paddle and give each of them three school style swats.

Adam looks to be smiling.

If they aren't seriously fighting, and they're well away from anything or anyone they might break or hurt (as appears to be the case), I can't see getting very upset over boys acting like boys.

Why did I drag a 13 and a 14 year old out shopping? Unless the trip was for something specifically for them - like shoes they would need to try on - they should have been allowed to stay home.

They are bored but still old enough to know how to act. This time they are being sent to the car and warned that they know how to act despite the boring shopping trip. Any future occurrence and there will be spankings when we get home.

Next time they can just 'chill at the house.'

Meh, I don't think they're 'fighting' but I've already said 'cool it' a couple of times to no obvious effect.  We'll go home now and I think it likely that I'll be lighting his rear up a bit.

The boys were warned and chose to ignore it. Time to spank them like they are acting, like little boys.

Can you spank silliness out of a boy? ;-)

I don't think a spanking at home would solve the actual 'problem'. Maybe a few stingers right there?

Unless they're doing a lot more than the picture implies (like if that hold leads to rolling on the ground), I think a stern word is all that's required. If they're being 'particularly fractious' today, there's probably a reason for it. If I can't finish my shopping quickly or take them home conveniently, then I need to either give them a quick break or promise them a reward is they behave while I finish (or, at their age, if we're at a mall, I can just give them a few dollars and send them for snacks and window shopping).

If this is a bit of goofing I think a stern word to get them back on mission is all thats needed. It looks like typical boys.. If itkeepshppening well I'm sure I don't need to reminfd them of what will happen when we get home.

I'm also with Kier at this stage. However, if they fail to respond sensibly and quickly to the look of thunder I now give them, they may well be in line for physical retribution.
