You have a fourteen year old son, Aaron. You live in an area not used to snow and ice. Yesterday evening a bout of winter weather passed through leaving everything coated in ice and a light accumulation of snow. Schools are closed and Aaron has a snow day. The school closure was announced yesterday evening and so you assume Aaron will enjoy his day off and sleep in.
You get up as usual and as you are headed out the door you see:
Aaron says he felt it would be the right thing to do to clear the walkways and drives of the neighbors on either side of you so he got up early to take care of it. Both neighbors are elderly and, despite the vast age difference, get along very well with Aaron and Aaron enjoys spending time with them and hearing their stories. Aaron says he was concerned one of them may fall on the ice and be injured. He further says since he had the shovel out that he decided to clear your drive and walk as well. You ask Aaron about his lack of shirt since it is cold. Aaron points to his shirt and hoodie draped over one of the shrubs and says he has worked so hard he is hot.
How do you address all of this with Aaron?
