A Late Chat Production
You just tied your twelve year-old son, Josh, in to a chair for at least the tenth time for the day. Josh asks you to do it. Josh is a budding magician. He is practicing a Houdini type escape trick that he is going to perform as part of an act for his best friend's birthday party later today.
Your spouse is in the other room and is not aware that Josh is still practicing. Your spouse is concerned about time thinking Josh still needs to shower and dress. Your spouse is not aware that the party is very informal and all Josh really needs to do to be ready is throw on a shirt and walk out the door. Your spouse yells in to Josh to tell him that he is running late and needs to shower and dress so he will be on time. Josh is busy concentrating on his escape trick and doesn't immediately answer and so your spouse yells in to him again.
You are about to speak up in Josh's defense but Josh beats you to it and gets frustrated and yells back, "Get off my f--king back, will ya? I am ready to go and I'm all tied up right now."
Do you remain Josh's defender?
