TRACKING TREVOR
A Fenz Production

Your eleven year old son, Trevor, is a rather enterprising and entrepreneurial boy.  Trevor discovered that he could walk along the local train tracks and collect scraps of metal and then he could sell the scraps to a local scrap dealer for good pocket money.

You found out about Trevor's "business" when a police officer brought him home.  There were no charges.  The officer did say the practice was unsafe and Trevor was trespassing on railroad property.  You told Trevor he was no longer allowed to collect scrap metal at the train tracks.

Today you are out and happen to be at a railroad crossing.  When you look down the tracks to make sure all is clear you see your son:

We need to discuss what Trevor is doing with all this pocket money, but obviously, I need to help him find another way to earn some extra money.

Maybe he can get some friends to sponsor this spanking he's about to get - after being brought home by the police once, you can bet that a penny a swat would earn him some good cash!

If this stretch of track is still in use, Trevor is in big trouble. I would have thought that being brought home by a police officer would have made an impression; as it didn't, perhaps my hand will.

He'll start in the tub and then go over my lap. Something about drying off and evening out.

Even with the police taking one home, it can be very hard to see the danger without experiencing it for oneself. It's also hard to discourage an enterprise that has been successful for the boy.

I hope I/we can find a safer activity.

Stoney took the words right out of my mouth. Laughing

The first imperative is definitely a bath and a good scrub to get that dirt and muck off. Then we can go drying and evening until I'm convinced the message has got through.

In his defence I will say that track doesn't look a busy one, but my instructions to him were not to go on any.

Agreed. I am sure Trevor will have been told this already

I just wanted to add this link from todays papers that I found by coincidence. May be this will spell out the danger

Judging by the rust on the bearing surface of the rails he's transferred his enterprise to a long disused length of track.  ............ Still I did tell Trevor to close down his enterprise.

So as Stoney said ......................
