TAKE YOUR KID TO WORK DAY
A DMK Production

Zach is your twelve year old son and is still spanked if needed.

Today is "take your kid to work day" at your office.  You take Zach to work with you.  He is initially excited but becomes bored with the experience after a few hours.  There is a park next to your office complex and after lunch Zach asks you to let him spend the rest of the day at the park.  You agree but tell Zach to go to the park and no where else and you will pick him up when your day is finished. Zach asks you for the car keys as he has some street hockey equipment in the trunk that he has yet to take in his house after his least sleepover with friends. Zach gets his equipment and returns the keys to you.  You remind Zach to go to the park and only the park.

About an hour later your supervisor comes to you to complain that your son is playing hockey in the office building parking lot.  A couple of cars, including your supervisor's car,  have been hit by the ball and have some minor scratches. Your supervisor also feels the busy parking lot is not a safe place for Zach to be playing. You say you will take care of it and go down to the lot and see:

How do you take care of it?

Unless he has a darned good reason for not being in the park, he'll be getting spanked. I don't quite consider this disobedience, though he should have meant 'the park and only the park' didn't mean 'hang out in the parking lot for a while.' My real trouble is, a boy his age should have known to stop after the first time he hit a car.

As far as I know if it is take your kid to work day, there are activities at work for the kids.
It can be something educative, of like a festival, they get prizes and junk food and t shirts!
He at least would find some other kids his age to play with.

Leti makes a good point, although for the purpose of the scenario I'll presume this is a small company and/or that he is the only boy of that age there.

Perhaps I'll show him his Pop can find another use for that hockey stick Twisted Evil

He can come back inside and spend therest of the  afternoon reflecting on the impact my hand will be having on his butt when we get home, knowing all the time that he is now only one small step from an escalation to the strap. Mad

I guess this is another national difference.

Here, 'Take Your Kid to Work Day' is usually something the schools do, not the businesses. That means, if your school isn't local to your job, your kid could be the only one there.

Now that she says it, I'd kind of like to do a 'Bring Your Kid to Work Day' for the stores. The only problem is, most of my employees are in high school or college, so it'd be more like a 'Bring Yourself to Work Day', which just doesn't sound as fun.

Most of the mills I work in actually do a program for take your brat to work day and all...

At one I go to they get a tour of the facility, a pizza lunch, and a whole bunch of free toilet paper...

Usually, however, the kids are 14, not 12, and in their first year of high school.

Stevie.

Stevie, I presume they need the toilet paper after the pizza lunch?

Possibly, but the real reason is that they've just seen it being made...

Teenagers have to wipe their posteriors, too, and they get a big package of the premium three ply product which is soft and gentle on tender teenage tushies...

I hope he didn't mean the carpark. I think I will start by showing Zach the dents and scratches and asking what he thinks about that. Then I remind him that I don't allow street hockey around the parked cars near home so why should here be any different. I'm going to spank him hard at home because 1 ding to a car might be an accident while 2 might start to be seen as vandalism and he was supposed to be in the Park

I'll go along with Ivor and put the hockey stick to good use. Very Happy

As tempted as I am to purchase an oversized pet carrier for my 3rd youngest per Stevie, I think CPS might gripe just a bit....(still, he IS an adult now but... Shocked ), I think Jack hit this one pretty well in my book.
