A DMK Good(?) Boys Production

This BOTD is inspired by the following:

You have four sons:

BRANDON AND BRENT - 13 (Twins,) BLAKE - 12, BLAINE - 15
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

All of your sons are still subject to spanking although lately spankings are a rare occurrence.

All four boys are responsible for keeping the lawn mowed and maintained.  They always work together on this chore and there are typically no issues with it getting done. However, this time the boys have been letting the lawn chores go unattended in favor of more fun summer activities.  Your lawn is not unsightly but it is obviously in need of attention.  You and your SO leave for work and tell the boys that the lawn needs to be taken care of TODAY before anything else is done.  Your sons promise it will be done.

The boys happen to hear a news report of an elderly lady in the neighborhood who is facing arrest over the condition of her lawn.  It is a violation of a city ordinance to allow one's grass to exceed a certain height. (To clarify:  your lawn is nowhere close to being in violation.) The lady's lawn is very large and extremely overgrown.  Your sons decide to help out and so they take the lawn equipment and find the neighbor in question.  The boys feel like this is an urgent matter and they simply want to help out and keep the lady from being arrested.  The boys spend most of the day mowing, trimming, raking and maintaining the elderly neighbor's lawn.  Your sons do not ask for any payment.  They feel it was the right thing to do.

The boys then head home with the equipment intending to do their own lawn.  Just as they arrive back home it starts raining and so they are unable to take care of the lawn as instructed.

You arrive home to a lawn that has not been mowed and are, to say the least, less than happy.  You go in and ask the boys why the lawn wasn't done and they explain the situation.

Your response?

Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.

I think they made the responsible, human decision. They can do our lawn tomorrow. Tonight, I'm sending them to shower, so we can all go get pizza and ice cream.

"In the end, it's just a story. But if you ask me, it's all true."

I agree with y'all. Just hope I had the good sense to listen before coming to judgment
