IS IT WORKED OUT?
A DMK Production

You have two sons and both boys are subject to spanking if needed.  The boys are close in age being only eleven months apart meaning they are the same age for one month every year - July.  Declan will turn twelve next month and Derek just turned eleven last month.  The boys are very competitive with each other and have gotten physical with each other in the past.  It is now a family rule that the boys are not to settle their differences by physically fighting or a spanking will result.  The boys have actually gotten along rather well for the past year.

The boys are outside playing basketball.

You then hear a commotion and look outside and your sons are rolling around on the ground punching at each other and yelling.  You head outside to intervene.

When you get to the boys you see Declan helping Derek up and then the brothers shake hands and hug. Neither boy seems to be badly injured - they both have a couple of minor scrapes.

Derek says, "We had a disagreement about a foul but we worked it out.  We're OK now."

Is it worked out?

It kind of depends....

If I haven't seen this happen in a long time, and they seemed to be settled before they saw me coming, then I'm going to remind them of the rule, and let it go at that.

If they only seemed to break it up when they saw me coming, or if this is even a moderately repetitive type thing, then we're going inside, getting them out of their shorts and boxers, fetching the TailBlazer, and THEN I'll remind them of the rules and why they have them.

However strongly I underline it, I think we can probably get by without a spanking this time.

Like Jack I think it's sorted, but they will get their warning.

I don't think I'm going to put them through the hoop over this.....

You'd probably need to repair it if you did....

I'd probably go for a single hand swat across the seat of their shorts as the "reminder" of the rules. Beyond that, they've sorted out their disagreement so that will be sufficient.

I agree with Jacks position. I think we can go without a paddling this time.

Boys will be boys! Since they have made up there will be no punishment or even threats!
