An Ivor Production
Your 13 year old son Curtis has certain chores that he is expected to carry out. You don't consider they are too many or too onerous and indeed you and he discussed them a couple of months back and agreed they were reasonable.
However in the last few weeks he has been letting things slip and you have found it more and more necessary to remind him in order to get jobs done. The problem seems to be twofold. Firstly it appears that he has acquired a girl friend and secondly he got a new phone for his birthday at about the same time. Of late he is spending more and more time on the phone apparently texting her.
He was supposed to mow the back yard at the weekend but he didn't. Most of the weekend was spent with Carly. On Sunday night you pointed out that the mowing had not been done and that you expected it to be done in the next day or so - or else. That as Curtis knows from experience means getting his butt paddled.
It is now Wednesday evening and dark when you come home. You check the yard has not been mowed before you head indoors where you find:
Will it be the paddle or a different punishment?
