You've been doing errands and chores of your own today. At 4:30 pm, you go to check on Derek's chores, and find that there are a couple not finished, and a couple that aren't done as well as they should have been. When you left on your errands, he was washing your car, so you too your spouse's, and thought Derek was finished.
When you confront him, at first he says he thought he finished them all, then he says he did 'most' of them, but he also washed your car and cleaned it out for you, so that should count. When you tell him it doesn't count, that you were very specific, so he can't borrow the car, he nearly breaks down. He begs for you to do something else - anything else (his best friend is six months older, and he's driven every time since then, and it's obviously important to Derek).
Do you tell him to call his friend for a ride, change your mind, or come up with something else to make up for the undone chores?
