I'M LOVIN' IT
A DMK Production

You have a son, Ronald, who just turned thirteen. Overall Ron is a good kid but he enjoys practical jokes and these sometimes go too far to the point that he finds sitting uncomfortable.

RONALD - 13

This afternoon, Ronald says he is going to bike down to the local McDonald's to get a milkshake.  You tell him to enjoy.

Shortly after you get a call from a lady identifying herself as the manager of the McDonald's.  She asks you to please come collect your son from the restaurant as there has been a bit of vandalism.  You head on out to see what is the matter and can't believe your son would resort to any sort of vandalism.

You arrive at the restaurant and find out that Ronald did purchase his milkshake but, as he was leaving, he made an "edit" to the sign out front.  The manager caught Ron as he was leaving the scene and the letter "F" was found in his pocket. When you ask Ronald if he changed the sign he admits that he did it.

What do you do?

I'm honestly not sure this could be called vandalism (or criminal mischief, which is the term here).

Since she called me to pick him up, I'm going to assume nothing else is happening there. He and I will head on home, and we'll have a long talk about what happened. I don't see any actual proof that he did it, but if he admits that he did --- Since this is something he's been spanked for before, and because he knows not to publicly use language that some people might find offensive, he's probably going to get at least a couple of swats and have to research what could have happened.

The scenario says he was caught with "the letter F in his pocket". I have to assume he did, in fact, do it. I'm going to handle it the same way as Jack described.

Yes, I suppose I will go along with Jack here, too.

But, I think I will give some thought to what I have been doing regarding this, and recognize that it does not seem to be working to stop his repetition of behaviors regarding this stuff. Maybe it is time for a fresh approach like a contract or something that will have some real meaning for him. It would take a good one-on-one with him to determine what that would be, but it might be time for this review.

Jack is correct and we aren't sure Ronald is guilty.  He could have found the F on the ground and was returning it.

I meant to be clear that Ronald is guilty.  I will edit the scenario to clarify.

I'll ask him what exactly did he intend to do with the letter F. If he intended to take it away that's worse than just leaving it by the sign.

Probably this is not enough for a full spanking, but he could have been in trouble if the manager had called the police. I'll go along with Jack: a discussion and a couple of swats.

It's pretty funny but I understand why the restaurant manager would find it annoying. Ronald will write a letter of apology. I will make it clear that any more pranks of this nature will result in wood meeting bottom.

Now if he'd happened to have a letter 'E' with him that he could have inserted into the third word, that really would have been funny Very Happy

Ronald is really a funny guy.

Yes I start to laugh when I see what he did.
And since he still had the stolen letter with him it is cquite clear that it was him.

So I will go with Jack's argumentation.

So what started for Roland with an milk-shake ends with a spanking.

It’s all a pack of lies!

No son of mine would be so stupid as to keep the evidence like that for he would have just dropped it at the spot.  Or, flung it away.

I hope hear from him that it saw the F on the ground and was taking it back to place and is being libeled (or is it slandered).

I'm with Jack on this one. He sure must have big pockets, or those are really tiny letters.
